Focus timer and session log
Read in timed blocks. Each focus block is followed by a short break, and after four focus blocks you take a longer one. The timer runs on this page, and the session log stays on this device.
JavaScript is off. The timer and the session log need it. The rhythm still works with any clock: read for 25 minutes, stop, and rest for 5 minutes. After four blocks, rest for 15 minutes. Write the time you finished each block in your reading note.
Applies the next time a focus block starts.
Long breaks always last 15 minutes.
Focus block
Focus blocks this cycle: 0 of 4.
Session log
No focus blocks logged yet on this device. Start a focus block, and its entry will appear here when it ends.

A block stopped early is logged only if it ran for at least one minute. Reset discards a block without logging it. Breaks are not logged.
How a cycle runs
- Focus block. Read one section, one figure, or one pass from the journey. The default is 25 minutes. You can choose 15, 25, 45, or 50.
- Short break. Look away from the page, stand up, and drink something. The default is 5 minutes. You can choose 5 or 10.
- Repeat. Four focus blocks make one cycle, with a short break after each of the first three.
- Long break. After the fourth focus block, rest for 15 minutes, then start the next cycle.
Keep each block tied to one task. If you finish early, use the remaining time to write the reply for that pass, not to start the next one.
